Autumn Evening on the EALR

On an autumn evening Sid waits in the Guards van for the 5.00pm freight to be assembled, while Cyril sweeps down the station forecourt. A quiet evening reflecting the cold and damp weather!

A test to try out the new station lamp that was fixed on today, a grain of wheat bulb, powered by a PP3 battery inside the station. That and the new guard van lamp seem to be working well. Nightime will tell! As usual click the photo to enlarge
